KR 2A3 RUMORS ARE TRUE Like T.S. Elliot let me begin at the end... Don Garber, of Fi, is America’s master of the 2A3 and he must know, and in a conversation with him about KR’s new 2A3 he was thrilled. He thought this new tube not only had all of the virtues of a classic 2A3, but some of the 45 magic...and that is a way big deal to directly heated triodmaniacs. I am preparing an extended piece “The 2A3 Wave” and am now listening to the Cary SET 2A3 that uses the KR tube and I am extremely impressed by its amazing 3 watts, which will drive my Tannoy horns into plaster peeling levels.
